Year in review 2025

It’s time to look back on the year, and what a year it’s been! We launched Bostadskreditfonden at the end of last year, and as I reflect on our first full year in operation, it’s hard not to feel a great sense of pride. In a short period of time, we’ve gone from idea to a fully operational fund.

A significant part of our focus has been on building solid structures, strong relationships, and trust. That doesn’t happen overnight, especially not in a market that’s been characterised by caution and uncertainty. Still, we’ve managed to establish ourselves as a relevant and credible player, which says a lot about both the market need and the work we’ve put in as a team.

From the outset, our ambition has been clear, to become a long-term financing partner for residential development in Sweden. This has led to many conversations with developers, investors, and other industry stakeholders, as well as a consistent effort to demonstrate how our model works and how it creates real impact.

Over the past year, we’ve also taken an active role in the broader discussion around housing development and financing. Among other things, we’ve highlighted how today’s pre-sales requirements can hold back new residential projects. By introducing our full subscription guarantee model, we’ve shown that risk can be shared in a smarter and more balanced way. The response has been strong, clearly indicating that the market is ready for a new approach.

At the same time, our first projects have moved from concept to reality. One example is our collaboration with Titania in Huddinge, where our financing has enabled the construction start of a new residential neighbourhood comprising around 400 homes. Turning ambition into execution is deeply rewarding and, just as importantly, a clear validation that our model works.

Since our launch, the organisation has grown rapidly. Six new colleagues have joined, bringing both energy and valuable expertise, and together we’ve built processes, established structures, and ensured high quality throughout the organisation. The pace has been high and expectations demanding, making the year intense at times, but above all a lot of fun. Throughout it all, we’ve remained firmly focused on long-term thinking, both in our investments and in how we continue to build the fund.

As we close the chapter on our first year, we do so from a position of strength. 2025 has been a year of establishment, learning, and execution. A rollercoaster at times, but a very rewarding one. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the culture we’ve built, defined by generosity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to moving the company forward. And yes, we’ve also made sure to celebrate the milestones along the way, both big and small.

Finally, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to our partners, and not least my wonderful colleagues who made this year possible. With that, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
